Situated on scenic ECR, midway between Chennai & Puducherry, MIDAS is a stone’s throw away from, historical landmarks such as Mahabalipuram, exotic destinations like Pondicherry and right next to the home of splendid silks called Kanchipuram.

MIDAS is part of the entire 1000 acre ecosystem called MARG Swarnabhoomi.
What sets MIDAS apart is that unlike most universities it does not isolate the student from society as Marg Swarnabhoomi is a large community which has schools, businesses and living spaces, comfortably co existing. This synergy ensures that the student does not feel isolated from home nor do they miss the bustling life they could leave behind in their own cities when they opt for residential study here.
MIDAS has an exclusive built up area of 43,000 sq ft which houses a well equipped library, a futuristic studio, large spacious classrooms plus audio and video learning support. The campus also has wi- fi access anywhere in the campus, walk to school hostel facilities, swimming pool, play areas and health care gyms.

How to Apply:
In Person: Application Form and Prospectus can be collected from the MIDAS Administrative Office on payment of cash or a Demand Draft for Rs. 1000/-.
By Post: Application Form and Prospectus can be obtained by post by sending a Demand Draft for 1050/-
By Online: Application Form and Prospectus can also be downloaded from the website (www.midas.ac.in) and submitted along with a Demand Draft for 1050/-
The Demand Draft should be in favour of “MARG Institute of Design and Architecture Swarnabhoomi” payable at Chennai.
Submission of Application:
The Application Form duly filled and signed (by the applicant and the parent) should be posted or couriered to

Along with attested photocopies of documents mentioned in the checklist (Refer Page 4 of the Application Form).
Admission for B. Arch in Architecture is based on written test conducted by NATA followed by an interview by MIDAS.
Admission for B. Arch is open to all Indians (provided the applicant fulfills the minimum requirements for admission as per Council of Architecture and Anna University norms)
Students under SC/ST/OBC/PwD (Person with Disability) quota are eligible for Government Scholarship. Eligible Students are requested to submit their scholarship form for the academic year by February for processing scholarship to these students
The individual should apply for counseling through Anna University for university seat allocation.
Eligibility
- Students who have completed Plus Two with Maths as a component can apply for
- 3 year Government recognised Diploma with 50% aggregate with Math as a compulsory subject.
or
- International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate with Maths as a compulsory subject.
- Pass in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) with a minimum of 80/200

Eminent Thinker JINAN KB lectures at MIDAS :
Eminent Thinker and Artist Mr JINAN KB was at MIDAS from 1st to 2nd Feb to lecture students and staff at MIDAS on “Rethink” workshop. This booster workshop is the beginning of a series of events lined up by MIDAS for the year 2013.

Time to have an “AWARD RACK” for MIDAS :
The 2013 has been Award Winning year for MIDAS. The students have participated in various forums and have been winning overall Championships. At ITYUTA Architecture Festival, they won the overall Championship for various competitions held on spot. At 56th NASA Panel meet, the students won the First Overall Award among nearly 70 colleges participating. At ZONASA they won an overall performance Award and an special award for Product design.
